Objective
The mission for Conker's was to create a family friendly brand identity that captures energy, youth, and enthusiasm that resonates with the young audience.  A mascot logo deemed appropriate to reflect the brand's story

Mood Board
In this stage I had to find inspiration for the visuals of the brand that needed to be created, I pulled images from Pinterest which became a great asset for finding patterns, type, and color schemes. I also took the liberty to go on a trip to Popeyes because the color scheme was similar to my mood board and then took photographs of the packaging and advertisements.

Sketching
After finding inspiration and ideas I will then put those thoughts into sketches, my main focus for this is to make multiple concepts for the logo I am not focusing on the final product just yet. I know that this project had to be friendly for a young audience's appeal and it had to be a squirrel mascot representing. I sketched many variations to the point it started reminding me of the old Chuck E Cheese logo with the idea of having a cap on the squirrel, until later on I dig deeper into a 1950's cartoon style with the eyes being cut out at the sides like a pizza slice.

Refining
After sketching multiple concepts I would start an elimination process to get rid of the concepts that I least liked which is easier for me to pick best one out of all. I happened to choose a winner that I loved which was one of the cartoon style eyes but with a swoosh of hair, I cleaned up the lines and removed any extra details for it to be vectorized on Adobe Illustrator.

Finalizing
When the sketches are imported to Adobe Illustrator to be vectorized it would then be designed in black and white to help me see the shapes more clearly. Afterwards I would make more adjustments to the logo until I'm satisfied for a final look and then I would add the colors. A before and after is shown below.
